Venezuela had a great day at the 2023 Santa Marta Beach South American Games. The beach fight won six gold medals for Venezuela this Sunday.
For the female branch, Naiyeliz Gutiérrez, Betzabeth Argüello and Astrid Montero were in charge of bringing the gold medals. Wilfredo Rodríguez, Steven Rodríguez, Pedro Ceballos and José Diaz did the same for the men.

Wilfredo Rodríguez led the -70 Kg category, Steven Rodriguez was the leader in -80 Kg, Pedro Ceballos conquered the gold in -90 Kg and José Diaz took the joust in +90 Kg.

Naiyeliz Gutierrez was left with the -50 Kg category, Betzabeth Argüello led in -60 Kg and Astrid Montero was crowned in -70 Kg.
After this Sunday’s session in Santa Marta, Venezuela tied Colombia for first place in the medal table with nine gold medals.
