Standard Liège Looking to Strengthen Forward Line with Soufiane Benjdida

At Standard, the recruits have quickly chained themselves since the end of the transfer window. But the management has decided not to stop there.

Fergal Harkin thus wishes to allow Carl Hoefkens to have a slightly larger group. And the sporting director could this time bring a new center forward on the banks of the Meuse.

According to the Moroccan press, Soufiane Benjdida will join the Rouches quickly. Aged 21, the Raja Casablanca player should allow Standard to have more offensive weight and perhaps a player capable of stringing together goals.

A real goalscorer?

As a reminder, last season’s top scorer on the Liège side was Philip Zinckernagel, a player who is not a striker. And it’s been going on for several years at Standard, Renaud Emond being the last striker to finish as the season’s top scorer.

Under contract with his current club until 2024, Benjdida has an estimated value of 425,000 euros and Standard could therefore achieve a good deal if the player confirms all the good that we think of him.
