Soccer: Regionalliga Northeast: dumplings and shoving

What joy, what luck, the Regionalliga Nordost plunged us sports fans back into local football events at the weekend.

As much as I’m looking forward to the summer break after a long season, a few days later I’m already missing the smell of sulphur, hastily tapped beer and bratwurst fat. The anticipatory shoving, pushing, flaring and looking into the crystal ball to determine what horrible dumpling might await us are apperceptions that have become dear to me over decades and that our football has given me. Of course we try to keep ourselves fresh with screen football, but tell me, dear ones – and be honest – which do you prefer: Dortmund in the USA against Liverpool on the telly or rather a test kick from Berolina Mitte on the beautiful Beroplatz in Berlin-Mitte with a view of the Sophienkirche and TV tower? When the mild summer wind caresses our remaining hair and the hop brew sparkles golden…

Summer break time is also reading time, for example, an insanely informative book about ex-Yugoslav football culture landed on my desk. Pyotr Jaworsky traveled the area for years to collect all possible information about the local fan scenes. »Through former Yugoslavia – NAVIJAČI«: Fans can expand their knowledge on an impressive 612 pages. The work was published by Blickfang Ultra Verlag in Zwickau.

Soccer dwarf Zwickau has slipped into the regional league after seven years in the third division. The club is practically bankrupt, all capable players have left the sunken ship, the fans are trying to save their heart club through a crowdfunding campaign. 250,000 euros have been collected so far, the same amount is needed again. Let’s donate, our club can be next! On Saturday, the FSV was gently beaten up at the BFC Dynamo. The Berliners scored three goals in the rain-swept Hohenschönhausen in front of almost 3,000 spectators against the West Saxons. That’s a small house number, the completely renewed BFC showed itself in impressive early form. The goal of the dynamo athletes, who have been competing with the old logo since this season, is promotion. Jena and Cottbus are also said to have third division ambitions. Lok Leipzig and RW Vieselbach (aka Erfurt) should also be on the list.

The divine Jena played 0-0 in Chemnitz. Half awesome because Chemnitz lost all the top players. But overall ok, because the Resterampe Chemnitz showed a fighting spirit and Hasenfussjena saved a point while half asleep.

The woolly Cottbus lost double horny at the Wundertütenklub Viktoria Berlin with 1:2. For energy trainer Pelle (like sausage skin without sausage) Wollitz probably the right result to get up to operating temperature. Throughout the week he will cover all people, animals and plants inside and outside of Lusatia with hate and hurtful language, in order to, at the next game, steeled by the forces of evil, with his cruel laughter, sensitive players, small lawn plants and randomly flying birds in the to drive insane.

On behalf of all the downtrodden at Wollitz games, I call for an awareness team against Wollitz discrimination, abusive Wollitz behavior and Wollitz violence for all people, plants and animals who could become potential Wollitz victims. Soccer god, have mercy on us!
