Sky Sports reports serious interest from Ajax in Liel Abada

Liel Abada is in the interest of Ajax, as you know Sky Sports report Monday night. According to the English medium, the team from Amsterdam has a serious interest in Celtic’s 21-year-old right winger, but Sporting Portugal currently has the best papers to make off with his arrival.

Abada has spent two seasons with Celtic. The Israeli winger was picked up from Maccabi Petah Tikva for around four million euros in the summer of 2021 and made an impact almost immediately with the Scottish superpower. In 101 official games for Celtic over the past two seasons, he has scored 28 goals and 20 assists.

According to Sky Sports is Ajax’s interest in Abada serious. Trainer Maurice Steijn has other Steven Bergwijn and Francisco Conceição available in the right wing position, while Mohammed Kudus and possibly Steven Berghuis could also work in that spot. However, Bergwijn had a dramatic year last season, while Kudus has been linked with a summer departure to the Premier League.

At Sporting Portugal, Abada is in the picture as a possible successor to Marcus Edwards. The latter is in the interest of several Premier League clubs. Should Edwards leave the Portuguese club, Sporting Portugal will transfer to Abada. The Scottish Daily Mail reported in April that Celtic are seeking around twelve million euros for Abada.
