Saint-Maximin has officially signed a contract with Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli, and he is the umpteenth top player to move to the Middle East.

WHAT HAPPENED?
Allan Saint-Maximin, who left Newcastle United for Al-Ahli, is the latest player to join the Saudi Pro League. Al-Ahli paid a reported fee of around £23m and it came from the country’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which also owns Newcastle. However, fine The Magpis and Al-Ahli did not reveal the exact number.

The 26-year-old will team up with former Manchester City winger Riyad Mahrez and ex-Liverpool Roberto Firmino to form an aggressive forward line at Al-Ahli.
Saint-Maximin joined Newcastle in August 2019 from Nice and has scored 13 goals and provided 21 assists in 124 games.
