The Saga Kita High Judo Club won the prefectural high school overall championship, and was decided to participate in the national tournament.
The judo club won the championship for the first time in 55 tournaments. This is the result of valuing “attacking”.
Director Ken Sakaguchi said, “Compared to other teams, we are small, but we are trying to hide it by improving our quickness and technique. In addition to solidifying our defense, we are also able to attack on our own. I overwhelm my opponents by attacking them so that I can play at my own pace.”
Every day, when I find a problem, I add a practice menu and solve it by consciously practicing within the limited practice time.

Students from participating schools interviewed athletes from Saga Prefecture for the National Inter-High School Championships (Inter-High), in which high school athletes compete, starting on the 22nd, set in four prefectures such as Hokkaido and Yamagata. As part of the joint project “Media Teens Saga” by the Saga Shimbun and high schools in the prefecture, a total of 47 men’s and women’s teams, mainly athletes participating in the team, will be introduced for three days from the 14th.
