“The Beaujolais has its share of difficulties with lots of ups and downs in the hills and vineyards. A place conducive to a fight between breakaway and peloton. Often the leading men manage to make it to the end because there is no wind to put them at a disadvantage and the winding roads prevent the peloton from making up time. In any case, it will be a duel until the end. The Croix Montmain and Croix Rosier passes do not have high percentages but they wear out quickly. The pace will be strong on the climbs and everyone will be in the rough, but I think few riders will let go of the wheels. The leaders will stay warm and try not to waste time before the Alps. »
