The last time Romario was in Bolivia was more than 25 years ago, when Brazil played the 1997 America’s Cup and defeated the host team with a resounding 1-3, in La Paz.

On that occasion, the Canarinha played most of their matches in Santa Cruz, a city that hosted players such as goalkeeper Taffarel, Cafú and Ronaldo Nazario.
