How Bautista’s father’s accident happened

Bautista’s father, Joaquin, became a quadriplegic ahead of the Rio 2016 Olympics after suffering a tragic fall while working at the stables.

Bautista and his mother took care of Joaquin until the Spanish tennis player’s mother passed away. Joaquin died shortly after the death of his wife Ester with Bautista by his side.
