An imposing force in the ring, Darren Drozdov became a notable figure in WWEknown to fans as Puke and Droz during his time as an in-ring competitor.
Drozdov was a gifted athlete before coming to WWE, playing soccer in the University of Maryland before going through the NFL with the New York Jets, Philadelphia Eagles y Denver Broncos.
Drozdov captivated audiences in the late 1990s with his time spent in Legion of Doom teaming up with Animal and his vignettes of Droz’s World.

We are sad to share that our beloved Darren passed away this morning from natural causes.. There are no words to convey the deep sense of loss and sadness that we are feeling right now.
Darren, affectionately known as “Droz”, was involved in a tragic accident in the ring while wrestling for WWE in 1999 that left him a quadriplegic; however, Droz maintained a champion mentality and lived every day to the fullest. despite the fact that he has not been able to move from the neck down for the last 24 years.
His own words summarize his tireless positivity in the midst of adversity: “There’s always another day. Just because I’m paralyzed and stuck in a wheelchair doesn’t mean my life is over.”. I have learned to live again, and my life is far from over.”
We lived this journey with him for the last 24 years. We were always there through thick and thinAnd we give you our unconditional love. We would like to extend our deepest thanks to everyone. To all his fans, teammates, colleagues and friends for all the love and support he has received over the years.
Taught how to put things in perspective and overcome adversity
You all gave it meaning, purpose, and something to live for. I loved each and every one of you and treasured the conversations, notes and letters I received. His faith in humanity never wavered, so you should know that despite all the love you’ve shown him, he loved you too.
Also we would like to thank WWE for treating him like family and for all your love, support and effort to make sure Darren always had the proper care and treatment to live with his condition for the last 24 years.
He was a devoted son, brother and friend who had always put others first, especially his family. He was kind, generous and always there for his people. He was our light and guide who illuminated our lives with infinite love and wonder.. Her smile was healing. Her warmth, love and laughter from her were contagious. We can always turn to him for wisdom and comfort and his absence feels like a giant hole in our family and our hearts.
Everyone who knew Darren was a better person for it.. He taught everyone a lot about how to see life: how to put things in perspective, how to overcome adversity, and how to show compassion for others. I wouldn’t want anyone to be sad right now and I wanted this to be a celebration of his life, to be remembered for all the great things he accomplished, the fun, the laughs, the great memories he shared with everyone.
