The team trained again this Saturday before the official team presentation takes place in the Allianz Arena on Sunday. And on Monday it’s off to Asia. Munich will have to do that without newcomer Guerreiro. The 29-year-old injured himself in training.
Guerreiro “torn a muscle bundle in his right calf during training on Saturday morning,” said Bayern Munich that he will have to take a longer break.
The Portuguese moved from Borussia Dortmund to the Isar on a free transfer just a few weeks ago and was only introduced on Monday at the Tegernsee training camp.
His failure hits Munich. Guerreiro was planned as a flexible player in midfield and at left-back. The 29-year-old made his debut in a friendly against Rottach-Egern (27-0) and will have to wait for further appearances for the time being.
