From the Chamber of Commerce of Armenia and Quindío we highlight the positive impact that this great sporting event will bring to the local economy and will be a valuable opportunity during and after the Games, to position the Quindío destination as a venue for national and international events. This important investment that is being made by the Ministry of Sports, the Government of Quindío and the Mayor’s Office of Armenia will translate into benefits for the region from tourism, gastronomy, transportation, logistics, to commercial development; It will undoubtedly be an important flow of income for entrepreneurs in the region.
The invitation we want to make is to put ourselves in National Games mode and get the house ready to experience one of the most important sports festivals for the department. We highlight the important efforts that the administrations are making, trusting that the stages will be ready on time, and that they will surely bring sports and tourism results to the destination. But we also invite companies, shopping centers, accommodation, parks, etc.; to prepare their establishments to receive their visitors.
The disciplines that will be displayed are: athletics, badminton, basketball, handball, bowling, road cycling, artistic gymnastics, hapkido, weightlifting, golf, rhythmic and trampoline gymnastics, BMX cycling. And in terms of settings, the new ones will be the aquatic complex, multi-sport arena, squash court, bowling alley and BMX track. The remodeled will be the Coliseo del Café, Coliseo del Sur, athletics track and gymnastics coliseum. The positive thing is that these spaces will remain to guarantee Quindian clubs, schools and leagues an infrastructure with remodeled and new settings for their training and preparation for other tournaments and sports fairs.
