Griner is averaging 18.2 points, 6.7 rebounds and 2 assists this season with the Mercury.
WNBA All-Star for the 9th time
The kingpin was arrested in February 2022 in Russia for having cannabis oil in her luggage and sentenced to nine years in prison but was released last December in a prisoner swap.

Griner was named WNBA All-Star for the ninth time in her career in June, and she’s carrying her currently struggling franchise, whether in points, rebounds or blocks.
The Mercury are 10th in the WNBA standings with 6 wins and 17 losses, battling to finish in the top eight and not miss the playoffs for the first time since 2012.
Griner, 32, is in his 10th WNBA season. She helped Phoenix win the league title in 2014 and also won Olympic gold twice with the United States.
