With the 1-0 defeat against Danubio in Jardines del Hipódromo, Peñarol was still unable to win a match in 2023 for the Uruguay Championship without being in the Campeón del Siglo or Centenario Stadium.
The aurinegros have played six games away from the two big venues so far, one where they are local and the other where some institutions bet to play as a visitor when their fiefdom is not in conditions or they intend to bet on an economic arrangement or collection.
Of those six matches, they added three defeats and three draws, but the particularity that, for now, they have never managed to add three.
The first match outside those venues was on the fourth date of the Apertura when they tied 2-2 with Defensor Sporting at the Franzini. Then he went to Belvedere where he fell 1-0 with Liverpool in the eighth and in the tenth he was a goalless draw with Cerro Largo in Ubilla.
