Faced with a tactical reorganization and the departures of Nuno Tavares, Issa Kaboré and Sead Kolasinac, OM are looking for reinforcements on the defensive wings this summer. Several candidates have already been mentioned in recent weeks, but a new player has emerged in the columns ofSports stadium this Wednesday.

A defender already targeted by OM in 2019

This is Juan Miranda, a familiar face for the Phocaeans. The left-back defender, currently playing for Betis, played 31 games, scored 3 goals and provided 5 assists last season in all competitions. The 23-year-old native of Olivares sees his contract expire in a year, a factor likely to influence the cost of his transfer.

The player’s excellent performance during the Euro U21, however, represents an obstacle: it has increased his rating on the market. The Andalusian club would consider capitalizing on his transfer to rebalance its finances. It remains to be seen if the player is ready to leave his current club.

In an interview given to the Cadena Copethe defender expressed his attachment to Betis: “I am extremely happy at Betis and Sevilla. This is where I want to be, this is my team and my city. Before joining the Euro, my agents discussed the extension with Betis. Now everything is on stand-by because I am focused on the Euro U21, but I am in the team of my life and I hope to stay there for many years.he confided.

OM are not the only suitor for Miranda. Benfica, AC Milan and Juventus are also said to be in contention to strengthen their left side with him. The Marseille club had already expressed interest in Juan Miranda in the summer of 2019. The player had finally opted for Schalke 04, an experience which turned out to be disappointing.
