The finals of the 2nd Open Century were disputed on the courts of the Tennis club Pompadour of Compiegne. They gave the following results:

Men: Nicolas Jonasz (1/6) beats Louis Quennessen (-2/6) Women: Jade Psonka (-4/6) beats Lucie Wargnier (T60) Men over 35: Benoît Tournant (15/2) beats Marc-Olivier Buffet (15/2) Women over 35: Aurélie Pruvost (15/5) wins against Caroline Daboval (30/1) Men over 55: Eric Dejean (15/4) wins against Humbert de Monts by Savasse (15/4)

The end of the season was marked by the title of French champion for the Compiégnoise Sylvie Primault, in women’s doubles over 65 years old. She teamed up with Brigitte Moretton. The Picardy champion only lost in the singles semi-final, on the courts of Roland-Garros.

Another licensee had qualified on the Porte d’Auteuil side: Christian Leclerc, in more than 70 years. He lost in the 1st round. He had already participated in the French championships, but among the over 35s.

Soon two new indoor courts

Recently chaired by Philippe Marillaud, the Tennis club Compiègne Pompadour has 700 members. Two terreball courts (synthetic clay) will be covered with a roof by the 2025-26 season. The surface will change to hard. There will then be six indoor courts. This will allow the club to get closer to the recommended average of one covered court per hundred members.

The club will also recover a wasteland to develop two other hard courts. It has four clay courts.

The city is continuing to renovate the perimeter wall, which was in danger of collapsing.
