In search of a central defender after having loaned Mattia Viti to Sassuolo, Nice has set its sights on Amiénois Formose Mendy. The Aiglons are negotiating a loan with an option to buy the 22-year-old central defender, under contract until 2025 with the ASC.
Florent Ghisolfi, sports director of the Gym, had already tried to recruit the Senegalese international (4 selections) when he officiated at Lens. The defender has played 63 Ligue 2 matches over the past two seasons.
