The Super Bowl champions with the Kansas City Chiefs prevailed by three holes ahead and two to play. Mahomes stood out with good shots and an outstanding ‘putt’ that contributed to his victory in this ‘matchplay’ format.
During the course of the game, Mahomes and Kelce took holes two, three, four and six, while Curry and Thompson only managed to take one, the ninth. However, when Thompson made the winning putt on the ninth hole, the “Splash Brothers” cheered effusively along with fellow Golden State Warriors Draymond Green, who accompanied them throughout the round.
The Match, a solidarity event, was sponsored by Capital One and had the objective of raising funds to help low-income people and children by buying food. This edition was the eighth of the event and featured the participation of prominent sports figures.
Both Mahomes and Kelce had outstanding performances in their respective seasons. Mahomes led the Kansas City Chiefs to a Super Bowl victory against the Philadelphia Eagles in Glendale, Arizona.
