NBA star Dennis Schröder has put his criticism of national team colleague Maximilian Kleber into perspective and feels misunderstood.
“It wasn’t meant badly,” said the 29-year-old in a video published on his YouTube channel, adding: “Maxi, if that came across as weird in any way, then I apologize. That should be zero negative.” In the “Got Nexxt” podcast, Captain Schröder criticized Kleber’s nomination for preparation for the upcoming World Cup (August 25 to September 10) in Asia because he had canceled for the European Championship last year. The German Basketball Association (DBB) wants to deal with the topic internally.
Schröder was dissatisfied with the reasoning behind the cancellation of the Dallas Mavericks’ head coach, Kleber, who was suffering from knee problems at the time. “I always stand by my word and I always say what I think.
