James Harden has requested a trade from the Philadelphia 76ers. Now, however, there are increasing signs that Harden may remain in the city of brotherly love. According to Dave McMenamin (ESPN), many in the league assume the Sixers will not trade the playmaker.
“The signals coming out of Philadelphia right now are that Harden will be playing for the Philadelphia 76ers next season,” McMenamin reported on The Dan Patrick Show. “Discussions with the LA Clippers are going nowhere. And Philadelphia needs Harden until they find a replacement. There’s a lot to suggest he’ll be playing for the Clippers next season.”
Harden had requested a trade before free agency and the Clippers were immediately considered favorites for the Guards’ services.

The Dallas Mavericks want to attack again in the coming season and could also become active again via trade. Tim Hardaway Jr. and JaVale McGee are still considered trade candidates, but their trade value is likely to be low after weak seasons.
According to Tim MacMahon (ESPN), the two youngsters Josh Green (22) and Jaden Hardy (21) are more interesting. If Dallas wanted to part with the two, it would only be for a win-now move, for example to further strengthen the frontcourt.
Green will become a restricted free agent next summer, while Hardy is still under contract until 2025 and rakes in a moderate $1.7 million in the 23-24 season.
