NBA 2K24: Former star and Los Angeles Lakers Hall of Famer Kobe Bryant will be the cover star of the game
Through a trailer and an official announcement, 2K has unveiled the release date of NBA 2K24, title developed by Visual Concepts which sees the American basketball sport as the protagonist. Furthermore, during the announcement, the stars and stripes software house also unveiled the various special editions that will be available on consoles and PC starting fromSeptember 8, 2023. As we see from the trailer, the new title of 2K Games will support for the first time the cross-play on the two platforms “New-Gen”, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and will feature the legend and Hall of Famer of the Los Angeles Lakers as the protagonist of its covers, Kobe Bryant. As happened last year for the edition starring Michael Jordan, this year we will be able to retrace some of Kobe Bryant’s best and most significant performances, from his early days to becoming a legend thanks to the Mamba Moments. Furthermore, for this title, Visual Concepts has introduced ProPLAY, a new technology that has allowed the development team to recreate videos of NBA players in gameplay, giving life to animations and movesets taken directly from the parquet, allowing to achieve a never-before-seen photorealism first in the series on next-gen consoles. Below are the three versions of the game that will arrive in both digital and physical formats:
Standard Edition: basic edition available at a price of 79.99 euros on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S and 69.99 euros for all other platforms.
25th Anniversary Edition: limited edition edition available until September 10, 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and PC at the price of 149.99 euros.
