Morocco closed its participation in the 13th edition of the Arab Sports Games, which took place from July 05 to 15, 2023 in Algeria, in 3rd place in the general classification, among the 22 participating sports delegations, with a total of 89 medals, says a press release from the Moroccan National Olympic Committee (CNOM).
Moroccan athletes involved in this competition won 24 gold, 39 silver and 26 bronze medals, including 5 medals in para-athletics, the same source said.
Morocco participated in these Arab Sports Games with 93 athletes in 11 disciplines. Athletics, with 28 athletes involved and boxing and karate, with 14 each, were the most represented.
The other participants are divided between cycling (6), gymnastics (5), weightlifting (3), judo (7), para-Athletics (6), pétanque (3), boules sports (5 ) and the veil (2).
