A mixed season ends for the Traiskirchen Grasshoppers in seventh and last place in the Bundesliga table. That was already clear before the last double round of the regular season. At least the Hoppers had a small sense of achievement at the end. On Friday evening, the Traiskirchners defeated the reigning champions Vienna Wanderers 4-1 and thus provided support for local rivals Wiener Neustadt. The Diving Ducks are number one in the play-offs, which also include Wanderers, Metrostars and Dornbirn stand.
On Saturday, however, the Viennese returned the balance of power. The Wanderers sent Traiskirchen off the field with a clear 13:2.
