With 72 players, 13 more than the previous year, and 18 young players, the Merville-Franceville badminton club is doing well. Three teams entered in the championship as well as a composite of veterans finishing 5th out of 45 in the departmental allowed the steering committee to organize, for the second time, the beach tournament which brought together, Saturday and Sunday, 220 participants from a almost everywhere, including 60% of neighboring regions. An event which was intended to be friendly and competitive at the same time since it counted for the national ranking and which took place on seven fields fitted out for the occasion.
On October 15 and 16, the club will organize Les Volants Roses, with the League of Normandy. The profits will be donated to the League Against Cancer, recalled the president, Flavie Ligard.
