Luca Van Assche qualified on Monday for the second round of the ATP 250 tournament in Bastad (Sweden) by dominating in two sets Dragos Madaras (7-6 [2], 6-4). The Swedish wild card did not worry the 77th player in the world, winner of his opponent in just under two hours. This success allows the young 19-year-old French hopeful to join Francisco Cerundolo, seeded number 4 in the tournament and eighth-finalist at Roland-Garros. The two men will meet on Wednesday.
