THE GENERAL RANKING OF THE TOUR DE FRANCE

THE GPM RANKING

14.08 Matteo Trentin arrives to set the pace: does the UAE Emirates want to move?

14.06 The AG2R Citroen arrives for Gall and Ciccone is also on the move.

14.04 Campenaerts goes via da alone.

14.02 The climb has begun, 120 kilometers to the finish.

13.58 For the moment, the action of the Lotto Dstny couple continues: 40” margin for Campenaerts and De Buyst.

13.55 Soon the first GPM of the day: second category, the Ballon d’Alsace (11.5 km at 5.2%).

13.52 There are no attacks in the group: waiting for the first climb of the day.

13.51 Giulio Ciccone’s Lidl-Trek manages the situation as a group.

13.49 With the Belgian is his teammate De Buyst.

13.48 Lotto Dstny goes on the attack with the usual Victor Campenaerts.

13.46 THE NINETEENTH STAGE OF THE TOUR HAS STARTED!

13.44 The departure will also be very tight today.

13.41 The transfer has begun, the official departure soon.

13.38 In Italy, the wait is all for Giulio Ciccone: the blue is in the Polka Dot Jersey and wants to defend it up to Paris. However, he pays attention to the pitfalls, starting with Felix Gall.

13.33 The fight for the podium is very open: Adam Yates wants to bring two UAE Emirates to the top-3, but watch out for Carlos Rodriguez and his twin Simon Yates. There will almost certainly be a battle.

13.30 Tadej Pogacar has obviously given up on his yellow dream. However, the Slovenian wants to redeem the crisis he had between Tuesday and Wednesday and go on the attack at least for the success of the stage.

13.27 Many points of interest today. Starting with Jonas Vingegaard who will have to manage the situation in the Yellow Jersey with his Jumbo-Visma: an exorbitant advantage for the Dane who will take home his second Tour de France tomorrow in Paris.

13.23 Official departure scheduled at 13.45, first, as usual, as soon as the operations on the signature sheet are completed, there will be the transfer section.

13.20 Fraction that promises to be spectacular given the six GPMs on the Vosges to be covered in just 133.5 kilometers. First ascent of the day, the Ballon d’Alsace (11.5km at 5.2%), then a slight stretch to catch your breath before tackling successive ascents all the way to the finish line. Col de la Croix des Moinats (5.2km at 7%), Col de Grosse Pierre (3.2km at 8%) and Col de la Schlucht (4.3km at 5.4%) without a moment’s pause. Then the very tough Petit Ballon (9.3 km at 8.1%) and the Col du Platzerwasel (7.1 km at 8.4%), with the brow eight kilometers from the finish.

13.17 On stage the last tough stage that anticipates the Paris catwalk: the Belfort – Le Markstein Fellering.

13.15 Hello and welcome to the Live Streaming of the twentieth and penultimate stage of the Tour de France 2023.

Friends of OA Sport good morning and welcome to the LIVE LIVE of the twentieth stage of the Tour de France 2023! The Big loop is now drawing to a close but, before tomorrow’s usual Parisian catwalk, today there is a last spectacular stage with a very tough route.

The verdicts were almost all written with Jonas Vingegaard putting the win in the general classification on ice. However, there is still an outstanding account, a last battle that will have its decisive moment in today’s fraction. We are talking about the challenge for the Polka Dot Jersey which will see Giulio Ciccone among the great protagonists. The blue will have to defend himself from the possible attack of Felix Gall, only 6 points away in the standings.

Mountains and GPMs will certainly not be lacking: in just 133 km the route has a good 3470 meters in altitude. You are the GPM present on a perfect path for long range actions and ambushes. We start with the 11.5 km at 5.3% of the Ballon d’Alsacethen in very rapid succession the three climbs of Col de la Croix des Moinats (5.2 km at 7%), from Big Stone Pass (3.2 km at 7.9%) and del Col de la Gorge (4.2km at 5%). Very long descent and then grand finale on the last two climbs of the Grande Boucle: first the very hard Petit Ballon with its 9.3 km at an average gradient of 8.1%, and then the Col du Platzerwasel (7.1 km at 8.4%). GPM placed 7 km from the finish, with the road still having a small bump before the final plan.

It will therefore be interesting to see if any of the men in the standings, perhaps among those fighting for the podium like Carlos Rodriguez or Adam Yates, will try to keep the race closed or if room will be left for a breakaway. Departure from Belfort scheduled at 1.45 pm, We at OA Sport will tell you about the stage with our usual LIVE LIVE text. Real-time updates, minute by minute, so you don’t miss a thing of the last mountain stage on the roads of the Tour!
