This summer, part of the Buytenpark has been transformed into a sporting hotspot. In the sand you can learn to play beach volleyball for five evenings from a professional trainer.

With your feet in the sand and the sun on your head, you learn the tricks of the trade from trainer Victor. Afterwards you have a drink with your teammates while the sun slowly disappears behind the horizon.
Practice first, then play a game
Since this summer you can take beach volleyball lessons in the Buytenpark, opposite the club building of IJsvereniging YVZ. Top sports trainer Victor Anfiloff teaches children, young people and adults the techniques for five weeks. After the necessary theory and exercises, it is time for a competition.
One more sporting moment per week
Victor has Sports Foundation F3 set up with the aim of offering sports lessons as cheap and accessible as possible. “I’ve been involved in sports all my life and I know how good it is for you, but also how much fun you get from it.”
Victor comes from Australia and according to him, schools there offer more sports opportunities than in the Netherlands. “Children and adults are therefore more exposed to exercise. And the more you do it, the better it gets. After that, most of them really like it and continue to do it automatically. My wish is that Zoetermeer residents add one sport moment a week.”

Volleyball, badminton and monkey cages
Victor now offers beach volleyball lessons in the summer with Sport F3, but he also wants to offer other forms of sports in other seasons. “In the Buytenpark I want to offer badminton, indoor volleyball and basketball, but children can also come and monkey cages. A subscription is not necessary, we offer it as accessible as possible,” explains Victor. “Parents can come and exercise with their children. And if a parent sets a good example, the child will automatically participate.”
