Judo-Club du Pays Glazik Celebrates Success and Plans for Future Growth

This Saturday, July 1, 2023, the Judo-club du Pays Glazik organized a festive morning, Fanch-Rolland room: a gala followed by the general assembly. From 9:30 a.m., during the gala, the judoka students presented their achievements in front of their parents, accompanied by Chloé Majal, their teacher. At 11 a.m., the general meeting of the club, led by Louis Le Berre, then took over, with the renewal of the office and the arrival of new members.

Four judokas at the French championship

The club went from 90 licensees in 2019 to 176 licensees (45 young people under 18 including 27 women and 131 adults including 43 women), with the integration of the Ergué-Gabéric club, in 2022, hence its current name. .

The club shows good results in the championships of Finistère, Brittany and the selection of four judokas in the championship of France.

The teacher, Chloé Majal, is satisfied with the results, the dynamics of the club and the attendance of the athletes.

The president also intervenes with the Pleyben dojo and with associations for the disabled, “a very positive experience to be extended to other dojos”.

A Taiso section in Landudal

Through six basic introductory courses, pupils from primary schools, from the territory, discover the discipline, i.e. for the 2023-2024 school year, the seven classes of the Yves-de-Kerguelen primary school in Briec.

“The club must progress and make itself known to young people, reassemble an adult judo course on Ergué-Gabéric, create a Taiso section in Landudal”, informs the president.

A full-time judo instructor

For the start of the 2023 school year, a change in organization is planned to make it more operational with the employment of a full-time judo teacher and the establishment of sector and project team managers. Finally, in office since 2019, the president, Louis Le Berre, wishes to train a possible successor.
