Judo Club Celebrates End-of-Season Achievements and Recognizes Outstanding Members

Sunday, June 25, the gymnasium welcomed 60 members of the Judo-club for the end-of-season party. The meeting began with taiso, led by Didier Thomas. Then, Noa Cœurdassier proposed a technical part on the ground and Nadia Fischer showed the learning acquired on the tachi-waza in standing judo. All the judokas then observed a demonstration of the codified nage-no-kata technique presented for the black belt and performed by Maël and Louane. Damien Petitjean handed over their new black belts to Joséphine Bonnotte, Margo Grosmaire and Louane Zunino. All of the judokas were granted their new rank by their referent teacher, from the white belt to a brown border. Michel Pelletier and Samuel Zunino were present to present all the grades and diplomas. Awards were also given by the president of the club, Monique Thomas, and by Damien.

The club saluted Léa Drouin and Léa Barbier for their commitment to Wednesday afternoon lessons, Thibaut Drouin for his participation in the French adapted sport championships, Cyprien Nancey for his selection for the young official’s cup, minimum sports commissioner at the level of the Grand Est, Margo Grosmaire for participating in the French 2nd division cadet championship. Louane Zunino was congratulated for her participation in the championships of France cadets espoirs and those of France 2nd division cadets and the obtaining of her diploma of assistant club, just like Maël Grosmaire for her participation in the championships of France espoir, her diploma of assistant club and his first place in the cup of the young official cadet sports commissioner in the Grand Est. Other laurels were braided to Noa and Damien for their 6th place in the French kata championship as well as 9-year-old James Webb for his performance in the samurai finals and his attendance throughout the year .

To end the session, grips on the ground and standing (randoris) allowed the youngest to face the older ones and show their parents what they have learned. Carole Collin, teacher of the Fayl-Billot Judo-club, and Nathan Robert, new black belt of the Rolampont/Chanoy Judo-club, were also present. On Friday, June 23, about fifteen judokas from the club were also at the Fayl-Billot dojo to participate in the end-of-year party of this club, which has had an effective partnership with the CSC judo for several years. The next day, Damien Petitjean, Maxime and Léa Barbier as well as Maël Grosmaire represented the CSC in partnership with the Langres club for the Langres Olympic day during which 30 people came to try judo.

Finally, Noa Cœurdassier and Louane Zunino took part in the Cussey school fair as part of Coupon Génération 2024 – Judo école. The schoolchildren were able to show their parents the achievements of the eight sessions given by Noa.
