Jay Scrubb Receives Two-Way Contract Extension from Boston Celtics After Impressive Summer League Performance

The Boston Celtics have extended him a two-way contract to Jay Scrubb, as reported by the journalist from Yahoo SportsChris Haynes.

The outstanding performance of the point guard in the Las Vegas Summer League has led the Celtics board of directors to offer him the deal. In five games with Boston he is averaging 14.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and shooting 46 percent from the field.

Scrubb has accumulated three seasons in the NBA, but has barely played 24 games and has 4.0 goals. He was taken in the 2020 Draft in 55th place by the Brooklyn Nets, who later transferred him to the Los Angeles Clippers until last year he signed with the Orlando Magic, a team with which he only participated in two games in 2022-2023.
