The boy had fallen victim to a very bad fall yesterday during the first stage of the Tour of Upper Austria.
Jacopo was an extraordinary boy, with a future to be written in sport and above all in life, and for this reason it hurts even more. The entire Campana Packaging Geo&Tex Trentino gathers around the family, friends and all those who loved Jacopo in this moment of immense pain.

Cyclist died at 17: the fall downhill
The events took place during the first stage of the Junior Tour. The day included two half-stages: in the morning the seventeen-year-old Venzo had taken part in the individual time trial, finishing in 87th position, while in the afternoon he was involved in this fatal fall that occurred along the descent of Mount Mistelbacher, about forty km north-east of Vienna. Following this incident, the stage was cancelled. Quick help, Jacob Venzo he was transported by air ambulance to the Kepler university hospital in Linz but did not make it and died in the night.
An episode which, in terms of dynamics, is very reminiscent of the death of Gino Mader, a professional rider who was in force at Bahrain-Victorious and who lost his life during the last Tour of Switzerland.
