An investigation was opened by the Angers prosecutor’s office for “carrying a weapon” after far-right activists were filmed Friday afternoon in the center of the city with baseball bats, according to a judicial source.

Friday afternoon, part of the procession participating in the demonstration to denounce police violence, at the call of the far left and banned by the prefecture – deviated towards the city center rue Saint Laud, not far from the former premises of the dissolved Alvarium association.
