Denpasar Sound – Unpleasant news came from the Indonesian National Team which had to lose a number of its flagship players in the next few matches.
The coach of the U-23 Indonesian National Team, Shin Tae-yong will face challenges in the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification because three Indonesian U-23 players have received punishment from the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
Reporting from the official AFC website, this punishment originated from a commotion that occurred in the 2023 SEA Games football final between the U-22 Indonesian national team and the U-22 Thai national team on Tuesday, May 16 2023, evening WIB.
This resulted in the three U-23 Indonesian National Team players who were affected, namely Komang Teguh, Titan Agung, and Taufany Muslihuddin being suspended for 6 matches.

Of course, this sanction will have an impact on Shin Tae Yong’s summons to the U-23 Indonesian National Team match.
So that the three stars Indra Sjafri at the 2023 Sea Games are certain to be dropped from the Indonesian National Team Squad for the 2024 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification which will take place on 6-12 September 2024.
Even so, Shin Tae-yong might not be too bothered by the absence of the three players.
The reason is, when Shin Tae-yong handled the U-23 Indonesian National Team from 2021 to 2022, the names above were never his mainstay.
Komang Teguh was once part of the 2022 U-23 Asian Cup Qualification squad, but was not Shin Tae-yong’s first choice.

To fill the void left by the three players, coach Shin Tae-yong can take advantage of players who play with European blood or descent.
