Less than a tenth of the prize money at Wimbledon. This is how much the modest apartment of winner Carlos Alcaraz costs. The 20-year-old Spaniard still lives at home with his parents in Murcia, above a doner shop.

The collection of crown jewels of the new tennis king is undoubtedly worth more than the treasury it guards. And actually, the Rolex watches from Carlos Alcaraz are still relatively affordable compared to the watches on the wrists of other colleagues on the tennis circuit. But the home of the brand new Wimbledon champion is also a lot more modest than Novak Djokovic’s real estate portfolio.

Carlos Alcaraz’s apartment

In a modest apartment above Turquesa Kebab & Pizzas in Molina de Segura, a suburb of the Spanish city of Murcia. The young number one in the tennis world lives there with his parents. Unfortunately, we cannot confirm on the basis of the Spanish Thuisbezorgd whether Carlos Alcaraz himself often buys a hairdresser in the doner shop; no Carlos has ever left a review.

From the airport in Murcia all the way to the threshold of his front door, fans and the Spanish press were waiting for ‘Carlito’. But his blistering battle in the Wimbledon final against Novak Djokovic had clearly left its mark. Tired but amiable as ever, Carlos Alcaraz waved the questions from the press. However, he could make the supporters in the street below coo with pleasure when he later appeared on the balcony of his modest abode.

According to British quality newspaper Independent The Wimbledon champion’s apartment would be worth just under £200,000, less than a tenth of what Carlos Alcaraz brought home from London. The winner of the prestigious grand slam tournament receives 2.35 million pounds, which is about 2.7 million euros.
