Inclusion and Team Spirit Take Center Stage in Sud Ouest’s Team Race

This challenge launched by “Sud Ouest” emphasizes team spirit more than competition. “It’s a real team race. Companies take advantage of this to unite their staff around a sporting and friendly project, in a festive spirit”, indicates Ludovic Jouault, the person in charge of this race for the newspaper “Sud Ouest”. It’s about running as a duo. The first two torchbearers complete half of the route together as far as Anglet, before handing over the baton to their two other colleagues, for the last 6 kilometres.

Inclusion

Enedis understood the mechanics well and decided to accompany the joëlettes, for the second consecutive year. Sponsor of La Foulée for several years, the electricity distributor wanted to make solidarity its driving force. Remember that the joëlette makes it possible to involve people with disabilities: they are installed in a seat, placed on a wheel, the whole being piloted by eight porters.

“We tried the experiment last year, says Christelle Palisse, communication manager at Enedis. Our employees have completely embraced this approach, so much so that we are doubling the bet this year, with two joëlettes. La Foulée allows the integration of all athletes, it facilitates inclusion. »

Partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Enedis supports the vice-world champion Guillaume Toucoulet locally, with a view to Paralympic archery. On July 26, the distributor’s teams will wear T-shirts in the Olympic colors. The biarrot champion has promised to be present to support this solidarity action, during the Foulée. »
