Hiratsuka Judo Association (Chairman Seiji Okuyama) Aya Honda (3rd year), Akie Hiragishi (3rd year), and Miyami Kamizu (1st year) attended at Tokyo Budokan on June 25th. At the 33rd Maruchan Cup Kanto Shonen Judo Tournament, which was held, she won 3rd place in the junior high school girls’ division and got a ticket to the national tournament in September.
This tournament is counted as one of the three major junior high school judo tournaments, along with Magazine Cup and Zenchu. The association, which participated as a seed, progressed smoothly with a team of three, consisting of two third-year students who have a sense of stability, and Mr. Jomizu, who is a first-timer who excels in physique.
In the second round, against a strong Chiba school, Mr. Hiragishi, the vanguard, grabbed the flow with his wazaari, and Mr. Josui, a midfielder, scored one with a splendid Osotogaeshi.
