Giordano Bortolani in Olimpia 2023/24: “Playing here is a unique feeling”

Pallacanestro Olimpia announces that the 1.93 guard Giordano Bortolani, born in Sant’Agata di Militello on 2 December 2000, returning from loan to Scaligera Verona, will be part of the first team in the 2023/24 season. “With Bortolani – explains the general manager Christos Stavropoulos – we started a growth path years ago which, at the end of numerous experiences in other clubs of the top division, brought him back to Milan. We are proud to be able to offer a product from our youth sector the chance to play for Olimpia, but Giordano is here because we believe he can help the team right away.” “For me, having grown up here, in this club, being able to be part of Olimpia’s first team is something unique. It’s a dream come true. Now I will do everything to make the most of this experience that I am about to live with great emotion and determination”.

THE CARREER – Son of a former minor league player, Bortolani grew up in Olimpia’s youth academy. In 2017/18 he scored his first basket in Serie A in the year in which he played four games in the team that won the Scudetto. He was in double membership in Bernareggio. Subsequently, he was in Legnano in Serie B, in Biella in A2 and then in Serie A in Brescia, Treviso (11.8 points per game, 38.9% shooting from three), Verona (10.0 points per game), in between brackets in Spain, in Manresa.
