On the other hand, the sixth edition of the Basketball Training Clinic ended on Sunday with a “total success”, as reported by the Miguelturra Basketball Club itself, organizers of this sporting activity that also has the collaboration of the Area of Sports of the Miguelturra City Council, as well as the sponsorship and collaboration of different commercial houses.
This is a training clinic that was held from July 24 to 30 and 70 boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 15 participated in it. All of them have had 10 sports instructors and coaches.
The closing ceremony was attended by the mayor, Luis Ramón Mohíno, the Councilor for Sports, Emiliano Domínguez, members of the Municipal Corporation, the president of the Miguelturra Basketball Club, Ramón Peco, the sports director of the Clínic, Pascual García, as well as sponsors , parents, relatives and friends.

In the same way, the seventeenth edition of the Beach Volleyball Tournament was inaugurated, which every year is hosted by the Parque Rivas Moreno in the town, and which this year is held from July 28 to August 6. A competition in which players participate in the pro, female amateur, male amateur and mixed amateur categories.
The mayor of Miguelturra, Luis Ramón Mohíno, wanted to accompany the ADV Miguelturra organizer of this Tournament and kick off for a start to the tournament that, this year was different and special, since the edition opened with a sitting ball match ( sitting or kneeling from the floor).
This year the tournament brings together close to 200 couples in its six categories: three Pro categories and three amateur categories, male, female and mixed. In addition to differentiating them by levels and to encourage participation in the tournament.
On the other hand, as explained by the president of the ADV, on this occasion and as a novelty in the mixed pro and in the amateur male to make it more attractive, there is differentiation of levels with a gold phase and a silver phase, to help in the participation to those who play for the first time or as a hobby, to those couples who have been regular players of that sport”.
