France and Jamaica Face Off in Women’s World Cup Group F Match

The fourth day of the Women’s World Cup kicks off Group F, the same key as Brazil, with France x Jamaica in Sydney, Australia. The match will take place at 7 am (Brasília time) this Sunday and will be accompanied by tempo real no ge.

Brazil’s executioner in the last World Cup, France experienced a troubled cycle between 2019 and 2023. The national team fired coach Corinne Diacre, who had been in charge for six years, in March of this year. The coach collided with some stars of the squad, with captain Wendie Renard, eight times champion of the Champions League with Lyon.

The French participate in the World Cup for the fifth time and have never made it past the quarterfinals. The team was not at the Tokyo Olympics. France lost to Australia 1-0 in a friendly preparatory match for the World Cup and turned on the alert for the tournament. But Hervé Renard sees the team more prepared.

– We will have to start the match much better against Jamaica than against Australia, there were some extenuating circumstances, we had arrived a few days before, a little affected by the time difference. It was a good warning, proof that one must always be ready to mobilize. I am convinced that girls are (ready) because they want to achieve something.

Jamaica makes its second World Cup in a row, the second in its history. In 2019, it was also in the group of Brazil and was eliminated with three defeats. Manchester City striker Khadija Shaw is the star of the team, with 14 goals in 20 games for the national team.
