For those who are not lucky enough to leave this summer, or simply tourists, several structures offer multiple news around Gien, Briare or Sully-sur-Loire.
The beauty of castles
Centre-Val de Loire obliges, the castles have an important place in the panoply of activities planned for children this summer in the Loiret. Many of them host animations or other ephemeral events. Starting with the castle of Saint-Brisson, which offers an alternative visit to do with family or friends throughout the summer.
Until Sunday August 27, visitors to the castle will be able to embark on a treasure hunt. “1h30 of treasure hunt from the cellar to the attic” are promised by the castle. These somewhat original visits are available from 12 to 6 p.m., from 6 years old, at the price of 9 euros for children and 13 euros for adults. The entrance ticket includes the treasure hunt, through which you visit the castle, as well as access to the park and the outdoor play area (turn everything upside down, archery, croquet …). Three ideas for activities to do during the summer holidays in Pithiviers and its surroundings
Another place, another castle, this time in La Bussière. The latter is organizing an escape game in its corridors until August 31. The immersion game takes a leap into the past: it takes place in March 1854. That year, the Count of Chasseval celebrates the inauguration of his new tower with a hunt and a dinner. Problem, a great danger hangs over the master of the place, which the players have 45 minutes to discover…
Again, the ticket, at the price of 17 euros, gives access to the castle and its exteriors. The escape game is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in July, and hours vary in August. This puzzle game, offered since 2018, will then be available from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and then from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., every day, except Tuesday. The escape game is played with a minimum of three, and a maximum of seven. Challenge, strategy tests, secret passages… An amazing way to get away from the traditional castle visit, which is sometimes duller.

Puzzles and creation
Change of atmosphere this time, with the detective party of Sully-sur-Loire, in the open air. Two dates on the program for this event on the banks of the Loire: Thursday July 20 and Saturday August 19, with departures from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Organized by the Val de Sullly Tourist Office, these days feature a band of robbers who allegedly stole a chest after the discovery of the body of its carrier in a house on rue du Bout du monde, a few meters from the castle. In 1h30, the players are responsible for finding the jackpot, after paying five euros to obtain the entry ticket.
Direction Gien for the last activity of this selection, and more precisely the castle, for once. On Fridays July 14, 21, 28 and August 4, 11, 18, 25, at 2:30 p.m., “Les Ateliers Créatifs – Ô mon tableau!” are organized. Open by reservation to children aged 6 to 12, this activity invites day visitors to reproduce a painting by the artist Paul Tavernier.
