Former Soccer Player Claims Son Charged 30 Million Pesos to Play: Club Demands Evidence

The ex-soccer player had assured that they had charged him 30 million pesos for his son to play.

Néstor ‘Palmira’ Salazar made a serious complaint in recent days and Boyacá Chicó came out to demand evidence. The former soccer player, passing through the checkered team between 2007 and 2008, assured that a coach had asked him for 30 million pesos so that his son could play in the professional team.

The club issued a statement in which it demanded that “Palmira” Salazar present evidence of what was stated in the interview with the Deportes Sin Tabujos program, and mentioned that if they did not do so, they would take criminal action for damages. The former soccer player reacted in networks and retracted what he said.

“I present excuses and apologies for the opinions issued in the past days regarding the issue of charging for my son to play in the team,” begins the letter that Néstor Salazar published on Instagram and that he addresses to Boyacá Chicó. “I retract what I said because I don’t have any proof.”

“These are desperate moments to look for opportunities,” he continued. ‘Palmira’ assured that they are unscrupulous people who pose as members of the club and fill them with hope. “I recognize that Boyacá Chicó maintains an administrative and sports structure that does not allow actions and activities of this type to occur.”

Finally, the former player mentions that “I ratify my retraction” and apologizes to the checkered club for the complaints he made.
