Nikola Jokic is actually a worldwide superstar. He just became champion in the NBA and was voted the best player in the final series. Many experts currently consider Jokic to be the best basketball player in the world.

Once his NBA season comes to an end, Jokic can be found at home in Sombor, Serbia, working on his farm, stables and horses, or while enjoying meals or even some alcoholic beverages with his friends and family enjoy.

Fame and money haven’t changed Jokic in the slightest. He’s the very guy who left his hometown of Sombor more than a decade ago. While this is something everyone loves, it can also be quite dangerous for others: especially when trying to keep up with the big man on a long night out.

Ex-player about Nikola Jokic: “We drank Serbian whiskey, I was done”

Jokic’s former Nuggets teammate and NBA champion Bruce Brown has now revealed exactly when that happened to him. Brown (who now plays for the Indiana Pacers) said a night out in Las Vegas with Jokic went too far, causing Brown to miss his flight the next morning by nearly four hours.

“Brother, he got me drinking Serbian whiskey – we drank it,” Brown said on a podcast. “My goal was actually to get him drunk. But he just reversed the script… We had a private jet at 8am the next morning. But hey, I didn’t wake up until 11:50…”

Brown: “He has a bigger body and I didn’t even think that. And we drank Serbian whiskey and I was just exhausted. You can’t drink with him.”
