First Division Players Unveil New Season Shirts: A Closer Look and Prices

New season, new shirts. In recent weeks, many first division players have already shown their fresh outfits for the coming season. Whether the designs have succeeded? Judge for yourself with the overview, including prices, below.

Union

From their own ‘Union Soixante’ to a global brand like Nike. Union is also taking huge steps in terms of clothing.

The Brussels folk club even received some guarantees from the sports giant: Union did not want a catalog model, but a unique design. And the shirts may not cost more than 70 euros in the fan shop.

The home shirt of the near-champion eventually became one with fine horizontal stripes, the away shirt has a wide double band in yellow and blue.

Striking: Brussels children under the age of 12 can request that last copy for free on the Union website, while supplies last.

Price: not yet known, but not more than 70 euros

Anderlecht (2nd and 3rd shirt)

Anderlecht’s away shirt is classic white, with a refined purple stripe down the middle. That purple stripe is also reflected in the black shirt, which has golden yellow accents in the print. It’s still a bit of a wait for the home copy.

Charleroi

A zebra with particularly trendy stripes. Together with Kipsta – soon to be the official ball sponsor of the Pro League – Charleroi has given a nice twist to its new home shirt. In the neck is also the logo of the city.

Circle Bruges

For the home shirt, Cercle again opted for a classic striped design. Compared to last season, the green-black stripes are thicker. Like in recent years, the away shirt is white with green accents that give the shirt a clean look.

Club Brugge (2nd shirt)

Club Brugge’s new away shirt has a special story. Blauw-zwart was inspired by the jerseys from the 1978 European Cup final at Wembley. For example, there is the striking V-collar as back then and the blue sleeves with black accents provide an extra touch.

Club presented the shirt with a beautiful video, in which legends Julien Cools and Raoul Lambert figure in the mythical stadium of the time.

The home shirt will not be revealed for several weeks.

Racing Genk

Racing Genk’s shirts are not completely new. The Limburgers already showed the copy during the play-offs. The blue sweater stands out because of the wide stripes and a retro look.

KAA Gent

For the first time in 35 years, there is no longer a VDK on the chest of the KAA Gent shirts. Insurer Baloise is the new main sponsor that adorns the blue and white jerseys. The second shirt is white, the away one is – as often in the past – fluorescent yellow.

KV Kortrijk

KV Kortrijk is going to work with the Italian manufacturer Errea this season. The home shirt is again bright red, with dark red & white accents on the sleeves and pants. In the black away shirt you will find the street map of the city of Kortrijk.

KV Mechelen

KV Mechelen continued to build on the special copy from the cup final for its new shirts. In addition to the iconic color combination of yellow and red, there is also a striking black turtleneck. The shirts are one of the cheapest in first class.

Standard

Standard exists 125 years and celebrates this with a festive shirt. The red shirt with white horizontal stripes includes an anniversary logo.

STVV

You don’t just celebrate a hundred years. And so STVV presents an anniversary shirt that has a unique design. On the inside there is a samurai mask as a nod to the club’s Japanese ties. A detail that is even picked up by foreign shirtfluencers.

On the outside, the new STVV shirt is a nod to the 1920s, with a nostalgic look. The design was created in collaboration with supporter and visual artist Tom Herck especially for the club’s centenary.
