Feyenoord’s bid for Gustav Isaksen has been swept off the table by FC Midtjylland, 1908.nl reports. The people of Rotterdam made this a ‘competitive proposal’, to which they did not receive the response they hoped for.
Midtjylland requires 12.5 million euros (excluding bonuses) for the 22-year-old attacker, who scored 33 goals and eighteen assists in 137 official games for the Danish club. That asking price is too much for the champion of the Eredivisie. Isaksen has a Potential of 71.1 and according to the FootballTransfers algorithm, the two-legged wing tip has a slightly lower value than Walemark (73.1) and Dilrosun (74.0). The winger represented an xTV of 8.3 million euros in February.
Although Feyenoord remains interested in Isaksen, the team from Rotterdam is now focusing on the arrival of Luka Ivanusec. There is a good chance that the 24-year-old winger will soon come over from Dinamo Zagreb. The clubs are approaching an agreement on a transfer fee of around 8.5 million euros.

Feyenoord may make another attempt to take over Isakses next month. For this, the club of trainer Arne Slot will have to create space in the selection by getting rid of a player like Alireza Jahanbakhsh. The Iranian, despite the fact that he is probably outside the starting eleven, wants to fight for his chance in De Kuip.
