FC Juárez Parts Ways with Midfielder Alan Soñora After Short Stint

Three days of Apertura 2023 have already been played and FC Juárez announces the final withdrawal of Alan Soñora, a midfielder who has recently been called up to the United States National Team and who had not played minutes in this tournament with the Braves team.

His time at the Juárez institution was barely a semester, with eight games played in the Clausura 2023, three of them as a starter, 330 minutes on the field, one yellow card, no goals or assists for the one who wore the number 10 shirt.

“By mutual agreement we have concluded our employment relationship with Alan Soñora. We wish you a bright future and success in your next projects,” the Ciudad Juárez club published on social media.

Who is Alan Soñora?

Soñora is a 24-year-old offensive midfielder who was born in the state of New Jersey, United States, on August 3, 1998. Alan is the son of Diego “Chiche” Soñora, a former defender and midfielder for Boca Juniors between 1988 and 1995, who had an interesting career at the start of Major League Soccer. In 1996 and 1997 he played for the Dallas Burn (the original name of FC Dallas), in 1998 he moved to the NY/NJ MetroStars and in 1999 he was part of the DC United roster. In 2001 he returned to professional soccer in the United States to briefly don the Tampa Bay Mutiny jersey.
