He doesn’t accept his underage daughter’s romance and beats her in the street. Then, not happy, he beats a woman who came to the girl’s rescue with a baseball bat.
The police officers arrested the father, a 49-year-old Italian. It happened the night between Saturday and Sunday in Genoa.
The 15-year-old girl had gone out with her boyfriend and some friends. Her parents had given her a return time and after ten minutes late, not seeing her return, her father went out to look for her.
He found her near her home and after yelling at her, grabbed her, beat her and forced her into the car.
The scene was witnessed by a 27-year-old woman who did not hesitate and intervened to help the girl.
However, her father pushed her to the ground and took a baseball bat from the car with which he started hitting her.
At that point a man who was returning home with his wife saw the attack and was in turn pushed to the ground. In the meantime, however, his wife called for help and an ambulance and police officers arrived on the spot.
The man was arrested for aggravated injuries and mistreatment in the family.
According to what has been reconstructed, it would not be the first time that the man has violent attitudes at home.
The same wife said that her husband would have beaten her daughter at other times; for this reason the prosecutor Gabriella Dotto, from the vulnerable groups pool, has delegated the San Fruttuoso police station for further investigations.
