During a condominium dispute that took place in Rome, a 60-year-old resident of Ponte Galeria was attacked with kicks and punches and with a baseball bat and a wooden rolling pin.
The victim died of the injuries sustained at the Gemelli Polyclinic.
The three people accused of his death have been detained for concurrent murder. They are a Syrian, 26, and two with Italian citizenship, aged 37 and 30, all with previous records.
Another person was also injured in the attack which took place a few days ago.
