Eugene Omoruyi Signs Two-Way Contract with Washington Wizards, Securing NBA Opportunity

Eugene Omoruyi could have a new opportunity in the NBA. The Nigerian forward has signed a two-way contract with the Washington Wizards for the 2023-24 campaign; reports Josh Robbins of The Athletic.

The 26-year-old became a free agent earlier this month when the Pistons decided to release him. It was fair to the Michigan organization that he played in 17 games with last season to average 9.7 points and 3.5 rebounds in 21.9 minutes a night. He has also been a part of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Dallas Mavericks.

With this movement, the Wizards have closed two of the three spaces they have on the roster for two-way contracts. The other two-way contract they used it to get Quenton Jackson.
