Elders from the Wonju region gathered together to gather wisdom on regional development.

On the 17th, Wonju City held a meeting at City Hall by inviting Mayor Won Kang-soo and other city officials and 47 citizens from various fields. The elders explained controversial issues in the region, such as the demolition of the Academy Theater, the prosecution of the legal culture city, and the closure of the Wonju Life Cooperation Education Center, and asked for continuity of work toward the future vision of Wonju, not political logic.

Won Kang-soo, Mayor of Wonju City, said, “I thank you along with 360,000 citizens for the passion and dedication that made today’s proud Wonju.” The city also decided to consider a plan to regularize elder meetings.
