EA Sports FC: price, cover, Ultimate Team… First changes announced

There is now a date for the biggest change in football games in recent years. On September 29, the partnership between FIFA and EA Sports will officially end, on the occasion of the release of EA Sports FC first of the name. This episode of the renewal for the license, necessarily highly anticipated, reveals its novelties in dribs and drabs during this summer. On Thursday, a conference in Amsterdam notably provided more practical information on the game.

Available for everyone on the 29th, EA Sports FC 24 will be accessible from September 22 for those who pre-order its Ultimate version. On the main home consoles (PlayStation and Xbox), it will be sold for €109.99 compared to €79.99 for the “classic” version, the price of which will therefore increase compared to previous years. The game will also be available on PC (€69.99) and Nintendo Switch (€59.99).

More “photo realism”

In terms of content, EA promises an improvement to the Frostbite graphics engine and the inclusion of a new technology called HyperMotion V, for more “photo realism”. But above all, he added “Game Styles” for each player, which will allow avatars to stick more closely to the technical style of their models in real life. The publisher has also formalized a major change in the Ultimate Team mode, which now includes player cards, which will therefore share the field with men for the first time.

Present in the Netherlands to attend these announcements, Erling Haaland was also invited to speak: the Norwegian was chosen to appear on the cover of the game, replacing Kylian Mbappé. The Manchester City striker said he was “proud to play a major role in launching a new era for the world leader in football games”.
